PRESENT PERFECT TENSE (Pr. Pf.)

Don‘t pin this tense on me, adică nu îmi puneţi mie în cârcă acest timp pentru că nu eu l-am
inventat. And there is more and worse to come, cu alte cuvinte complicaţiile abia acum încep deoarece o
să fiţi tnetţi să amestecaţi timpurile, dacă nu ştiţi Time Marker-ii fiecăruia.
THE PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE (prezentul perfect simplu)
R1. Se formează: S + have/has + verb –ed (pentru verbele regulate) sau
forma a 3a (pentru verbe
neregulate)
e.g. play – played write(forma I) – wrote (forma aII-a) – written(forma a III-a)
listen – listened go went gone
e.g. I have
visited I have written

R2. The present
perfect simple se foloseşte:
1. pentru a exprima acţiuni care au avut loc în trecut, s-au treminat iar
momentul nu este precizat.
e.g. I have
been to the
cinema. ( be – was/were – been)
Am fost la cinema.
She has
seen hedgehogs
in her grandfather’s orchard. (see- saw
– seen)
Ea a văzut arici în livada bunicului ei.
2. pentru o acţiune care a avut loc în trecut iar urmările se văd în
prezent:
e.g. I have
washed my car, it
is clean now.
Mi-am spălat maşina, este curată acum.
3. pentru a exprima o stare de fapt care durează până în prezent:
e.g. We have
lived in Sibiu
for twenty years.
Locuim în Sibiu de douăzeci de ani.
R3.a) Interrogative:
Have I/ you/ we/ they +
verb -ed/a 3a forma ?
Has he/ she/ it + verb
-ed/ a 3a forma ?
e.g. Has she seen hedgehogs in her grandfather‘s
orchard ?
Have I washed my car ?
b) Negative:
I/ You/ We/ They haven‘t(have not) + verb -ed/ forma a 3a
He/
She/ It hasn‘t(has not) + verb -ed/ forma a 3a
e.g. She hasn‘t
seen hedgehogs
in her grandfather‘s orchard.
I haven‘t washed my car.
Sper că you didn’t take your
hopes too high, adică nu v-aţi făcut iluzii deşarte
închipuindu-vă că nu există T.M. la acest timp. Well, my dear, lista lor is
longer than the Chinese wall, e mai lungă decât zidul chinezesc.
R4.Time Markers
·
already (deja): We have already eaten the cake. (Am mâncat deja prăjitura)
·
Just (tocmai): We have just eaten ….
·
Yet (încă): We haven‘t eaten the cake yet.
·
Recently (recent): We have eaten ice cream recently.
·
Lately (în ultima vreme): We haven‘t eaten chicken soup lately.
·
So far ( până acum): We haven‘t eaten pineapple
pie so far.
·
This week/ month/year etc. : We have eaten lots of
tangerines this month.
·
Since(din, de, de când – arată începutul acţiunii): We have eaten cakes since we were three years old.
·
For (de – arată durata acţiunii): We have eaten cakes for 21 years.
·
Never (şi verbul este la afirmativ): We have never eaten cakes.
·
Ever (şi verbul este la negativ): We haven’t ever eaten cakes
TIPS
A. My dear, you don‘t have to
walk on egg shells, adică nu va trebui să umbli ca pe ouă cu timpurile
englezeşti dacă ai să ştii T.M. fiecăruia. Astfel, nu poţi să greşeşti dacă îţi
dau să traduci propoziţiile următoare:
1.Voi aţi băut cafea . şi 2. Voi ati băut cafea în urmă cu o oră.
În propoziţia 1 nu ai T.M. deci foloseşti Present perfect, iar în propoziţia 2 T.M. este în urmă cu o oră, deci foloseşti P.s.
1. You have
drunk
coffee. Respectiv 2. You drank
coffee an hour ago.
B. După since totdeauna să foloseşti past simple.
e.g. I haven‘t
met him since I moved to Bucharest.
Nu l-am mai întâlnit de când m-am mutat în Bucureşti.
R5. Translation. Pr.pf. se traduce fie cu
prezentul fie cu perfectul compus. Se traduce cu prezentul când se folosesc
T.M. since şi for. Acum trebuie să peel your eyes,
adică să caşti bine ochii pentru că dacă va trebui să
traduci următoarele propoziţii care în româneşte au verbul are aceeaşi formă,
de prezent, în englezeşte verbele vor lua timpul în funcţie de
T.M. Şi ca să
nu mai beat about the bush, adică să nu mai bat câmpii, iată un exemplu:
e.g. 1. Eu scriu o
scrisoare acum.
I am writing a letter now.
2. Eu scriu o scrisoare în
fiecare lună.
I write a letter every
month.
3. Eu scriu o scrisoare de
trei zile.
I have written a letter for
three days.
